Foggin' For It

On the drive to the airport, Patrick told me about how many studies were done around Nova Scotia to choose the spot to build the Halifax International where there was the least fog. However, after clearing away the trees they found it was now the foggiest area because all the natural trees had been cleared.
Thanks to this brilliance, our flight was delayed due to fog for about five hours. As a result, we would miss the only connecting flight to Tokyo from Toronto for that day. Would they put us up in a hotel? Well, no. They claimed that the fog wasn't their fault (although Patrick's story argues against that) and that we'd have to make our own arrangements or sleep at the airport. Could we get our bags back and go to Halifax for another day? No. The bags had already been packed on the grounded plane. What a big bad bag of salamander piss.
